Leaders of My Favorite Teams Can Teach All of Us Something Important for Our Program ( Part 2 of Segment 3 of Why I Wrote a Book )

Sean P has done a great job of creating a winning culture but still making changes to be better

Broncos Leader- Sean P has done a remarkable job of turning around my favorite NFL team the Denver Broncos but he is not satisfied and not standing still to just run it back. One of his hardest decisions of the season occurred in the Broncos AFC championship game when he as play caller for the team went for it on a fourth and 1 to hopefully lead the team to a 2 touchdown lead. Personally I agreed in the team going for it especially with the weather report for the day but the play Sean called put a premium on the performance of the back up QB. One of my beliefs no matter the sport is that there are certain situations that if you are going to be a Champion you must do, in the NFL it is to be able to make a fourth and 1 by running the ball. Nothing from the media is harder on Sean than he is on himself and this is the area that he has shown that he is a special leader by moving himself off of play calling. This move shows that leadership means no matter how good you are find an area to improve. Sean is a legendary play caller but this frees him up to be ready for every special situation in big game moment rather than being bogged down with every offensive play call, he can be a move ahead of every important play even before it unfolds. He has also already shown that they will make a move to have the play and players ready for the next fourth and 1. Great Leaders keep getting their organization better no matter how far they’ve come and how good they are at this point!

Gunners coaching staff and owners- Mikel A has taken the depth and quality that the owners Stan K and Josh K have provided him and gone to the top of their league and their continent. What he needs to do now is keep going forward keep using these tools to put pressure on their opponents do not lose your way in backing off the attacking system and quality of play that you have developed. Make the opponent make mistakes by keeping the attacks going at them.

Yes great Leaders have to do both get better and keep doing those things that got them to the top!

Gunners and Nuggets both have soft tissue problems with a lot of hamstring and other issues. If you have an issue in your program that is keeping you from reaching your ceiling that is definitely where there must be change. In my book this is where I suggest AIR! Access, Interrupt and Reframe both these teams are owned by Stan K and Josh K that have proven to be great owners of these 2 teams and for sure have the resources to fix this situation.

Nuggets Errors in Clutch- David A is a top young coach that is learning a ton in his first season as a NBA head coach. The great lessons of this season we need to take as improvements for the playoffs as all these errors are getting the team ready to not make these mistakes again. The sting of these defeats due to mistakes at the end of games is getting the Nuggets ready! You learn more from the sting than the glossing over issues you did not pay for with a loss.

The Lessons now can be the difference in the future for the Nuggets! Learn the lessons and lead the team so they are ready for every situation whether the number one guy or number 15.

The book written by the not only free but not hired consultant for the Broncos, Nuggets and Gunners!
